Premium Interview: @O2YtheKomander

1.) What is the one thing you love about your community?

The energy of my audience is what drives me to continue to improve. Typically I am a low energy individual, but seeing my community get revved up ignites the fire burning in my hearts and set me to move forward harder and faster after each and every setback.

2.) How did you get into content creation/gaming?

On a lazy day in college I was watching a favorite streamer of mine. As Christopherodd plied his trade the topic turned to his start and he said one quote I hold dear to me in all I do  “You’ve gotta just start and move onward”

3.) What was the best video game and worst video game you have ever played? Why?

In my nearly 20 years of gaming, no game has spoke to me like XCOM 2. Modding it extended the shelf life even to this day and will stay for many years longer. Inversely no game has bored me like the Call of Duty series of bland, pale, by the numbers shooters.

4.) If you could collab with a community or influencer, who would it be?

In communities and creators I’ve admired, none have struck me like CdawgVA and Christopherodd. I wish to emulate CDawg’s philanthropy for all those less fortunate than me even if I never truly make it. As for Christopherodd I admire his resilience. His ability to do it, day after day, after day consistently for years. 

5.) Who inspired you to start creating content or continues to inspire you?

Christopherodd. As explained in 2 and 4. He still inspires me to this day and when I get wrapped up in stress and failure, I’ll watch a vid of his and raise my head until I can move forward again.

6.) What is something you want people to know about you?

Aside from streaming I work full time in a hospital lab, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, leaving at midnight, I joined to help save lives and ease suffering if possible.

7.) We have gone 5 years into the future, what does your content look like?

My content might be very similar in the next five years. I do hope to improve the quality of recording, maybe in my own place. Games and content might be different too.

8.) What advice would you give to the next new creator that you wish you were given?

As a small streamer even right now, I had many challenges I needed to press through. However the challenge will always be present so “The climb is harder than you think” also implies there is an endpoint, a summit. And once you get there, the next step is much easier.

9.) You get to go on a vacation anywhere. Where do you go and what’s the first thing you eat/drink?

I always wished to visit the homeland of my grandmother. Greece which she abandoned on the cusp of World War II to pursue the American Dream. Once visiting there I would love to try an authentic Pastitio which is also known as a “Greek Lasagna” a personal favorite of mine.
