1.) Congrats on winning in the International And Unity categories in the 2025 Wet Awards – can you tell us a little bit about your background as a creator in these spaces?
My name is Marielena but I go by Maddii or Bunnii. My Creator Name is Maddiidatninja. I’m a Puerto Rican from Chicago who lives in California. I’ve been streaming for Twitch for 6 years and it is the best experience I’ve ever had. I have connected with many bright and intelligent people.
I am the founder of ThaBlock, a stream team that I had created with friends. Our motto is “Nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” Which I take that to heart. Some other affiliations that I have is BunniiGang, Ninjaway, and EpicGames which they have brought nothing but good to my life.
2.) How did your journey into content creation begin? What was the first game you ever streamed?
My journey began in New York. I was going through some tough times and I turned it on with no intention of making money, it was more like an escape from home. I was severely depressed and really didn’t have anyone to talk to. Once I pushed the button that feeling went away. I remember playing Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker. Which I recommend if you love Naruto the Anime.
3.) What advice would you share with creators who are just beginning on their content creation journey?
Don’t buy all the fancy equipment when you first start. All you need is a mic, a console or phone, and a dream. If you have questions about someone’s stream overlay or their setup ask it. Closed mouths don’t get fed.
4.) What did winning the award mean to you and your community? How were you able to drive the involvement you did to bring home the win?
Winning the award meant for us to all came together as one to show everyone what unity means to ThaBlock. Unity is where we all come together no matter what color are skin is and we fight as one. We wanted to show the world that we are strong.
We will make it together as One.
5.) Final question – You become president of GetWetSports – what category are you adding in the next award show?
I feel like we need an award for Symbol of Peace award someone who shines brighter than others and is genuine to all a big supporter and a hard working streamer. Someone who is always smiling even when the times is rough.
